Hi Feathers,

In response to the person who asked about buying on ebay, I bought my FW
there. It was easy, convenient, and the price was right. The machine was
exactly as represented. I had a very good experience. I have heard no
negatives, but would be interested to hear if others have. What was this
about a TV show?

I bought a lovely British Centennial. (EE806876) However, all that I bought
was the case and the machine. The case is the type with a shelf at the
top, but the shelf is missing. Does anyone have a shelf they would be
willing to sell? I would also love to find a feed dog cover plate. Does
anyone have a British key they would sell? (The British case, I'm told,
has a different key) Last, but not least, I need a screw. It is the screw
that attaches the little plate at the top of the machine that has the spool
pin on it. Singer tells me this screw is no longer available, and the
threads are so tiny that I can't find anything that fits. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

I can't tell you guys how very much I enjoy your e-mails. I love getting
my digest and am sad any days that there isn't one waiting when I look at
my mail.

Thanks everybody.

Subject: New Featherweight Adjustable Legs

Hi Feathers ! At Quilter's Mate=99 we have developed a brand new product
Featherweight machines. We didn't expect them to come in so soon but they
arrived today, 2 weeks ahead of schedule. That's a wonder, isn't it.

We thought we would announce them here first and then introduce them at the
Quilt show in Lancaster, PA next week.

They are our new Adjust & Sew=99 sewing machine legs made exclusively for
featherweights. They are a standard part of our new machine and will be sold
separately for Featherweight 221 machines.

The Adjust & Sew legs are replacement legs for the rear of the machine so you
can adjust the machine at an angle that allows you to sit up straight and take
all of the strain off your back. Pictures do a better job of illustrating than
my words, so if you are interested you can go to our web site to take a look.

We will be running an introductory show special at the Lancaster, PA show=
will extend the same special to our web site through April 18, 1999.
