Hi everyone,
Due to cancellations, I have three openings for Glenn Williams' and Tony Baker's featherweight

This is a full day class, very comprehensive and loads of fun. If anyone is interested please

Hi Ya-all (practicing for Houston),

Yes, I will be in Houston at the quilt festival. I am teaching three
classes and demonstrating at the Wednesday Sampler. If you are a
Feather stop by and say hello.

Does anyone else have the tacky problem of the fabric slightly gathering
while running thru a 221? I've tried loosening the top pressure as well
as tension dial...
But it continues to have a slight gather to it.. I know if I pull the
fabric front and back while it sews, it helps, but thought some of you
knew something I don't....

Thanks, Elizabeth

Judy ask,

What happened to all the Feathers and their comments and questions.
Translation: the daily FW digests are so short it is amazing.

Will Judy could it be that it's getting boring to a lot of folks, because
when ever you get something going some one GRIPS about it??
You know folks can only say so much about a Featherweight and then it's the
same old stuff over and over. Grahams the only one who has came up with any
thing new, his big badge centennial, that he has up on ebay.

Any one else have any thing to say why theres not much posting going on ?

Linda ask,
Gerald from Hot Springs, would you ever consider doing a clinic to teach us
how
to maintain our
Feather weights? I have had mine for over two years but just started sewing
on
it the last few
months. Because of my lack of knowledge I am afraid to even oil the
machine.
I would love to
learn how to properly care for my FW.

P.S.. I could advertise your class at QUEST and the Shepard Center.

Linda for Quest quilters I would give a free one if they will come to Hot
Springs for it.

Subject: Some Neat Buys.

Hello all.
Not very often do I come across some really neat attachments for my 221, but
I just wanted to share some items with you that are recent finds. An original
feeddog cover still on the Singer card. A picot attachment in the original
box with the instruction manual, and a Third hand in its original box. All seem
to have never been used. I shall tuck them into one of my pristine Centennial
cases, I have a feeling whoever gets these when I 'pop me clogs' is going to
really love them as I have, I do hope so.

Don't forget to get your Flu' shots especially if you are at risk, and Happy
Halloween.

Jacque in Delaware.

This is true. I, too, wondered where everyone had gone. I know I haven't
posted lately, but then I haven't made any extreme purchases lately, either.
Not since last spring when I bought a FW complete with table at auction!
(1950's vintage)

It's time I started divesting myself of some of the machines that followed me
home in the last few years. I need to find someone who will pick up here in
SE PA! (most are in cabinets, complete with matching benches, but I do have
some lovely 90 lb 'portables' as well) Let me know what you need and I'll tell
you if I have one of those!

I've been very busy with ailing parents, darling (of course) grandchildren
and piecing many quilts. Just finished a Friendship Star quilt in colors
similar to that in the Quiltmakers Gift book, for my oldest grandson (8 1/2) and a
two-sided quilt with airships on one side and dinosaurs on the other for his
brother (4 1/2). Both boys are thrilled with their quilts...and it has been
chilly enough here for the last few days that they need them!

Don't sweat the small stuff. And it's ALL small stuff!
